    Booked this as a birthday treat for my girlfriend, had heard it was a bit posh and pricey. None the less we went for it.

    We chose a main course and a sharing desert, food was great and the bill was a nice surprise. We will be back!

    Visited the Miller and Carter Steakhouse , Cove Road ,Fleet tel 01252 816655 this lunch time , Thursday 4 April , with my husband to celebrate my birthday ! The service given by LEE was outstanding , nothing was too much trouble !
    The food was also great . I chose the Bistro – style rump steak , I usually have steak medium but on Lee ‘s recommendation had it medium rare which did not disappoint . My husband chose the cheesy mushrooms and a burger from the Lunchtime Special menu . I helped him finish his mushrooms which were in a delicious , thick sauce , and the burger was well cooked !
    This was only our second visit to a Miller and Carter ( we’re o a ps on a limited budget so don’t eat out much ) but we had a lovely meal in the Bath one about a year ago when we had a weekend there , so knew what to expect .
    Our son gave us an N & C gift card for Christmas , which we used today , and have enough money for another meal so will be back !!

    I complained but nobody did anything
    No friendly greeting on arrival of departure
    Wine vouchers didn’t work

    We have been regular customers for years but never again!

  • The food was good as usual but today it seem like it was not as hot the restaurant itself was cold and the portions seem to have changed slightly and in the centre of got smaller I particularly like the beef dripping gravy and this has certainly changed to more like a gravy without the beef dripping this will not stop me going again but I just like to leave this as a short note don’t let things slip because people will slowly go away

    Just want5ed to say that me and my husband came in on Friday evening and enjoyed a lovely meal and as we had not been in before we were not sure of the menu but we had a lovely young lady called Gosie who really helped us she was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely meal and will be back again very soon, thanks again for a lovely evening regards Maeve and Pete Schofield.

  • Very disappointed as a regular customers!!! My wife & I have just returned from 4 weeks in Italy & went at 4.30 today for an early meal at M& C Parbold. My wife’s steak came overcooked and covered in a layer of butter and on a bed of more butter & with no onion loaf. My salad was just green leaves with dressing but no avocado or cheese. My wife’s steak was replaced with apologies but by this time I had finished my meal. The only mitigating factor was the server, Tara, who was extremely efficient, apologetic, and offered me a complimentary desert.

    Just had a meal today 4 of us I eat out quite a lot but I was shocked to see £25 vat on my bill bringing the total to £149 x we had set menus at £26 each but couldn’t see anywhere that vat would be added to bill

    Lucy our waitress was very professional and friendly. We only had one small complaint that the onion loaf was overdone so Lucy apologised and got my mum a portion to take home to make up for it. Thanks Lucy.

  • Hi I just would like to say I’ve just visited the miller and carter in Borehamwood and the The manager and all the staff especially Hailey are amazing I just can’t seem to do enough for youAnd they are also polite and the service is top drawer and I look forward to visiting Miller and Carter in Bournewood very soon

  • Just been to your restaurant in union street Aberdeen, beautiful food and excellent service, keep it up.

  • Have eaten a few times at various M and C restaurants and normally impressed…however tonight was well below standard. Walked through door at 17.05 pm and no one at front service desk. Waited almost 10 minutes to get someone to take us to a table. Sat at table and after about 10 minutes the wine waitress came to take our order. We then had to chase up the table waitress to get her to take our food order at 17.35 ish and Starter arrived about 17.45. We were very disappointed that the scallops at £9.50 only had 3 scallops!!!
    We finished starter approx 17.50 and waitress collected plates
    We waited for main course to arrive and at 18.10 after being in the steak house for just over an hour we had only had a starter…..I said to my partner if main course failed to arrive by 18:15 we would walk out
    At about 18.13 hrs a salad wedge arrived…followed by the main course at about 18.18. The onion loaf was cold….the steak was one of the toughest rumps and made me wonder how we or anyone could check whether it really had been hung for ages as it was one of toughest rumps I have had. Considering I normally have a bog standard rump I am not sure what happened to the tenderness as stated on the menu. My partners lamb had numerous amounts of fat and grissel which she left on the plate after picking the debris out of her mouth…..receipt ZA177806-pos-03…..10.11.2019……..01628627083…very disappointed ( unusually)…Mike Woolgar

  • Visited m and c with friends a few weeks ago and had good meals so booked up again for the 22nd Nov for our sons 40th birthday. Ref MOAOrderPad 22412, nine persons in party.
    Met up at bar for drinks think Barman was on a ‘go slow’ asked for orange with tonic and got lemon then attempted to charge for two.
    Thought some of the drinks, starters and puds a bit expensive i.e. beer shandy £5.15 however main meals were poor, lamb over cooked and hard (left), dauphinoise pots burnt nearly black on underside, fries in pots were stone cold, two of the steaks were very dry, all plates were cold and had no trimmings on them so example plate of steak, onion and quarter tomato only. a couple of the puds were strange, hard and were left. Order was taken for starters and mains at same time, that was ok, but time delay between starters arrival and mains being served was WELL over the hour.

    I appreciate that the restaurant was well booked but this experience was bad and did nothing for your reputation.

  • Miller and carter never disappoints but tonight was exceptionally good and that is all thanks to my server gem. What an absolutely outstanding and accommodating woman. Not only did she greet us with a warm welcoming smile, she made sure to check in on us throughout. When I come next time I hope gem is working. She is a credit to miller and carter and having her as a server is reassuring

  • It was my daughter’s birthday and we celebrated by having a wonderful meal at your branch in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. Service was superb and six members of the family all enjoyed the meal.

  • We have just enjoyed a lunch at the Leafe Robinson. No complaints but a query.
    My daughter enjoys a cheese board which is on the menu, but it does not offer plain biscuits, i.e crackers. As she is allergic to nuts and seeds she is unable to have this. Why are plain biscuits not offered as an alternative? I am sure she is not the only person affected in this way. I have asked this question before but have never received an explanation.

    1. The “” address does not work.
    2. The bill has 6 covers 4 were Set Sunday Menue at £26.95 plus supliments
    3. I was charged with only 3 Set Sunday Menues giving rise to an incorrect bill amount.
    4. The amount was challanged with George at the time as it should have been £240.00 and not the £247.15 charged.
    Due to the long delays in the service we received time was of the essance and we had to leave so were unable to pursue the discrepancy futher.
    In addition the Creme Brulee had to be sent back as it was served with a cold soft top which should be hot and crisp. The second effort was correct.
    We have used this resturant several times and notice a general steady decline in standards to the point that we have to consider our continued patronage.

  • Went to the Bessacarr branch of you chain for a birthday treat we had a lovely experience the décor was modern and very clean we were greeted by the Manager and he assigned Charlotte to guide us through to our dining area she went through information about our choice of menu which was very helpful we had a wonderful meal and will definitely be returning

    Would just like to leave a very positive feedback regarding your Bessacarr branch all the staff were amazing from the Manager who greeted us to Charlotte who saw to our every need she was very pleasant, professional gave all the information we needed to make choice regarding the menu and I have dietary needs and allergies which she helped me through the meal we both had was lovely and a nice change from the usual food we eat when out all the staff created a wonderful experience will be going back there
